Begin Your Exciting New Career As A Massage TherapistUnitech’s Massage Therapy program empowers students with the knowledge, tools, and certifications to become massage therapists. A Massage Therapist treats clients by using touch to manipulate the muscles and other soft tissues of the body. Hence, touch therapy relieves pain, helps heal injuries, improves circulation, relieves stress, increases relaxation, and aids in the general wellness of clients.
The Massage Therapy student will receive extensive instruction in anatomy and physiology to better prepare them for therapeutic massage and bodywork. Various massage modalities are taught such as Swedish, clinical, sports, pregnancy, deep tissue and eastern therapies. Clinicals provide the student an opportunity to massage out clients with supervision by a licensed massage therapist.

What makes massage therapy a great career for me?
In general, Massage Therapy is the perfect career for someone who enjoys helping people. From athletes to the elderly, our students go on to help many different types of people and cases. Massage Therapy is a physical practice as it takes proper technique, it’s unrealistic to expect to give massages to clients 8 hrs a day. Many of our students like this as it allows them to lead a very flexible schedule. Additionally, having great communication skills is a tremendous asset as therapists need to listen carefully to clients in order to understand what they want to achieve through massage sessions.
What sort of places can I work at as a massage therapist?
Employment of Massage Therapists is projected to grow 24 percent over the next ten years, much faster than the average for all occupations.
